Artwork Guidelines – Yalla Printing

At Yalla Printing, we want your designs to look their absolute best. To ensure smooth printing and the highest quality results, please follow the artwork preparation guidelines below before submitting your files.

1. Accepted File Formats

We accept the following file types for print-ready artwork:

• PDF (preferred) – High-resolution with fonts outlined and images embedded

• AI / EPS – Adobe Illustrator files with text converted to outlines

• PSD – Photoshop files with all layers flattened

• JPG / PNG – High-resolution (300 DPI) for images and photos

⚠️ Tip: Always export final files as high-resolution PDF for best results.

2. File Resolution

• Minimum: 300 DPI (dots per inch) for sharp, clear prints

• Images below 150 DPI may appear pixelated or blurry

3. Color Mode

• Always use CMYK color mode (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) for printing

• RGB files (used for screens) may cause unexpected color shifts in print

4. Bleed, Trim & Safe Area

To avoid unwanted white borders or text being cut off:

• Bleed Area: Add at least 3mm bleed on all sides of your design

• Trim Line: The final cut size of your product

• Safe Zone: Keep all text and logos 5mm inside the trim line

✔ Example: For a 9 x 5.5 cm business card, your file size should be 9.6 x 6.1 cm including bleed.

5. Fonts & Text

• Convert all fonts to outlines/curves before sending artwork

• Use font sizes above 6pt for readability

• Avoid very thin fonts in small sizes (they may not print clearly)

6. Images & Graphics

• Use high-resolution images (300 DPI)

• Avoid screenshots or images copied from the web (usually 72 DPI)

• Embed or link all images when sending open files

7. Special Finishes (Foil, Spot UV, Embossing, etc.)

If your product includes gold foil, spot UV, embossing, or die-cut shapes:

• Provide separate vector layers (clearly named) for special finishes

• Use 100% black (C:0 M:0 Y:0 K:100) on a separate layer to indicate areas of foil/UV/embossing

8. Large Format Printing (Banners, Posters, Cutouts, etc.)

• Scale files proportionally (e.g., 50% or 25%) to keep file sizes manageable

• Use CMYK colors and ensure all images are high-resolution

• Avoid placing text too close to edges
