What NCR actually means
NCR (No Carbon Required) paper transfers writing to the copy beneath it without carbon sheets - practical for invoices, receipts, and delivery notes that need an instant duplicate.
Choosing your copy count
- 1+1 (duplicate) - one copy for the customer, one for your records
- 1+2 (triplicate) - adds a copy for accounting or a driver/warehouse team
Sequential numbering
Always request pre-printed sequential numbering - it's essential for basic bookkeeping and makes it obvious if a page is missing or out of order.
Layout tips
Include your TRN, contact details, and clear item/price columns. Leave enough blank space for handwriting - overly tight layouts lead to illegible entries.
